Overview
Developmental Psychology at the University of Windsor is a four-year Honours Bachelor of Arts within the Department of Psychology, examining human development across the lifespan. Students begin with an introductory psychology course reserved for majors, working in small groups with upper-year mentors, then move into specialized courses such as Adulthood and Aging, Emotional Development, Cognitive Development and Social Development, working with children, adolescents, adults or seniors depending on their interests. The program offers undergraduate research and community placement opportunities that put classroom learning into practice, and can be taken with a co-op work-term option or a thesis option for students planning graduate study. Graduates are prepared for graduate or certificate programs and careers in teaching, social work, and child, elder and health care and community agencies, while the thesis route leads toward careers in research and practice in university, government, health and social-services settings.

Admission Requirements: Ontario secondary school applicants require Grade 12 English (ENG4U) with a minimum average of 70%; the University of Windsor states a mean entering average of 79% calculated over six Grade 12 academic courses. International applicants require an equivalent Grade 12 English course and must submit evidence of education equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six Grade 12 academic courses, which the university converts to Ontario-equivalent grades.
