One Health is an Honours Specialization offered jointly by the Faculty of Science and the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University, leading to an Honours Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) degree. The module examines the connections between human, animal and environmental health, combining biology, chemistry, epidemiology, biostatistics, geography and environmental science with dedicated One Health courses (One Health 3300A/B, 3600A/B and 4100F/G) and a fourth-year research project (One Health 4985E and 4986Y). Students choose among alternative biology, medical-science and geography, sociology and Indigenous-studies electives that broaden the program's interdisciplinary scope. Admission to Year 3 requires completion of designated first- and second-year prerequisites in biology, chemistry, statistics and epidemiology with minimum grades, and enrolment is limited, with meeting minimum requirements not guaranteeing admission.
