Program details
Overview
Anatomy and Cell Biology (MSc) at Western University offers graduate training in cell biology, neurobiology, anatomical sciences, and education scholarship. The program is offered in two formats: a thesis-based option that is research-intensive and prepares students for careers as research scientists in academia or industry, and a project-based option that combines coursework, research, and hands-on teaching experience to prepare students as medical educators and scholars. Applicants typically hold a four-year honours degree in a life or allied health science, or a degree in dentistry, medicine, or veterinary science. Research experience is recommended for students pursuing the thesis-based stream. The program is delivered full-time on Western's campus, drawing on the department's facilities and faculty expertise in anatomical and cell-biology research to support both research-oriented and teaching-oriented career paths for graduates.
