The Master of Health Information Science at Western University is a joint graduate program between the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Information and Media Studies, situated at the intersection of healthcare and information management, policy, knowledge translation and clinical practice. Core areas of study include public health, health informatics and digital health, patient and professional information-seeking behaviour, and information ethics and policy. The programme is full-time and offered through a course-based route completed over three terms, or a thesis-based route completed over six terms, and accepts applicants from a range of disciplines including health sciences, social sciences, library and information science, journalism and computer science. Admission requires an Honours BHSc, BSc, BA or equivalent degree from a recognized university or college with a minimum 78 percent overall average in the final two full-time years of undergraduate study.
