The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science examines how political decisions shape governments, policies, and societies, with coursework spanning trade and political economy, environmental politics, public opinion, and electoral analysis. The program develops critical thinking and analytical skills applicable to careers in government, public policy, law, advocacy, journalism, and international relations. It is delivered primarily in person through face-to-face instruction on campus. Students may pursue an accredited co-op stream that adds paid work terms to the degree. The Honours program normally takes four years of full-time study to complete and leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree. Graduate pathway options exist, including combined degrees with a Master of Arts, an MBA, or a law degree through Laurier's partnership with the University of Sussex.
