Overview
This program leads to a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), an Honours undergraduate degree offered full-time at the Keele Campus with direct entry from high school or delayed entry beginning in Year 2. Students complete 120 credits, starting in Year 1 with foundations in microeconomics, macroeconomics, financial accounting, data management, global business and marketing management. Years 2 through 4 build on management accounting, operations, finance, organizational behaviour and strategic management, combined with electives. Entering Year 3, students may choose up to two specializations from eleven areas, including accounting, business analytics, entrepreneurship, finance, global business, marketing, operations and supply chain management, organization studies, strategic management, and sustainability. The curriculum includes an international dimension, with the option to complete a term abroad at one of the school's international partner institutions. The program suits high school graduates with strong academic records seeking a broad management education that allows specialization in a later year rather than at entry.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Direct entry from Ontario high school requires six 4U/M courses in the top six, including ENG4U, MHF4U, and MCV4U or MDM4U, each at a minimum of 70%, with no more than two 4M courses counted; equivalent province- or country-specific curriculum requirements apply to non-Ontario applicants. Admission to the Schulich BBA is highly competitive, with admission averages historically in the high 80s to low 90s, and every candidate must also complete a Schulich Supplementary Application assessed on leadership potential, integrity, resourcefulness, resilience and an understanding of collaboration; external transfer and mature-student entry are not offered. Unless exempt, applicants must meet Schulich's elevated undergraduate English proficiency minimums, published on York's language-requirements page: IELTS Academic 7.0, TOEFL iBT 94, PTE Academic 67, or Duolingo 130, each valid for two years.
