The Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting is a CPA Ontario accredited program designed to give students a head start toward the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. The program covers the coursework required for the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) and prepares students for the Common Final Examination (CFE). It is offered three times a year, in the fall, winter, and summer terms, and can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. Full-time students can complete the CPA PEP and CFE requirements in nine months, while part-time students typically complete the same requirements in twelve months. For the January intake, the program is offered on a full-time basis only, without a part-time option. The diploma is delivered by York University's School of Administrative Studies and is intended for students who already hold the academic credentials required to pursue the CPA designation.
