Overview
Environmental Arts and Justice is a Bachelor of Environmental Studies offered by York University's Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change. The program merges courses in literature, policy, social science, environmental science, media production, performance and art with collaborative, hands-on learning, approaching environmental challenges through multiple ways of knowing, thinking and creating. Students examine policy and legal responses to environmental issues alongside professional practice, engaging with topics including the climate crisis, environmental racism, Indigenous sovereignty and food justice.
