Program details
Overview
The Bachelor of Creative Arts is a degree-completion program at Yorkville University for students who already hold a post-secondary diploma in a creative discipline, such as film, design, media, animation, fashion, music, performance, or another creative discipline. Rather than teaching creative technique from the beginning, the program builds business, financial and leadership skills on top of that existing creative training, with coursework in project management, financial planning, arts administration, entrepreneurship, legal and ethical issues, and research and critical analysis relevant to creative industries. The program concludes with a self-directed graduating project that integrates the student's prior creative training with the business and leadership content covered in the degree. It is delivered on campus and fully online, with four start dates a year, structured so a diploma-holder can complete it while continuing to work in their field. The program suits practising creative professionals who want to move into leadership, production-management or arts-administration roles, or to run their own creative practice or business, without giving up the discipline-specific training they already hold.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Yorkville University's Bachelor of Creative Arts requires applicants to already hold a completed post-secondary diploma in a creative discipline from a recognized institution, such as film, design, animation, fashion, media, or performance. English proficiency requires a TOEFL iBT score of at least 83 (old 0-120 scale) or 4.5 (new 1-6 scale); applicants scoring 6.0 in every IELTS band instead qualify for conditional admission, taking up to three first-term courses including the required ENGL101 and needing a minimum C+ to continue. The application also asks for official transcripts from the eligible creative diploma program, a resume and statement of interest, a $150 application fee, and evidence of professional experience such as publications, portfolio work, reviews, testimonials, or employer references where applicable. With a full course load, year-round study, and any approved transfer credits, the degree can be completed in as few as 15 months. The program starts four times a year: January, April, July, and October.

Start Date:January, April, July, and October
Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply directly to Yorkville University, which admits across four intakes a year (January, April, July and October) rather than a single fixed deadline; complete applications typically receive a decision within a few weeks. International applicants follow the same four intakes and are advised to apply well ahead of their chosen start date so a study permit can be processed in time; the university publishes no fixed international closing date, and admission runs on a rolling basis until each intake's seats are filled. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
