Overview
This cross-disciplinary Bachelor's and Master's pathway in computing and electrical engineering is taught in English and sits within the wider Science and Engineering programme, which offers two tracks: Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and Computing and Electrical Engineering. Within the Computing and Electrical Engineering track, students choose between two major subjects, Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, and can focus on signal processing and machine learning, software development, power engineering, communications engineering, or electronics and embedded systems. The first year brings together common core courses spanning computing, electrical engineering, mathematics and physics, with a major and minor chosen at the start of the second year; second-year students can also take research training within a research group for credit toward the degree. Graduates with the Bachelor of Science in Technology degree can continue directly into one of several English-taught Master of Science (Technology) programmes at Tampere University without reapplying.
