The Economics master's programme, taught in English, conveys analytical and methodological knowledge along with models and problem-solving approaches for major societal challenges. It is theoretically grounded and covers all content areas of economics. Students deepen their command of mathematics, statistics and econometrics, which they need to understand complex economic models and to judge the relevance and limits of economic theories.
The curriculum looks ahead to changes in markets driven by digitalisation and internationalisation. Students build advanced knowledge of macroeconomics, microeconomics, financial economics and econometrics, and are introduced step by step to current research debates. Research seminars let them discuss new findings and work on their own projects. Graduates work in public administration, financial planning, auditing, tax consulting, banking, insurance, non-governmental organisations, media, or academic research.
