This three-year BSc programme of 180 ECTS credits pairs business administration with a computer science minor, so that students develop management as well as technical abilities. The degree itself is conferred by the Department of Business and Economics. The language of teaching is Icelandic, with some courses available in English according to the course catalogue.
Students work with theories, models and quantitative and qualitative methods across accounting, finance, marketing, management and economics, and they learn to analyse business problems at local, national and international level and to create value from opportunities and ideas.
Each year visiting lecturers from business and information technology firms join the teaching, and undergraduates can earn credit through an internship. Graduates find work in the private and public sectors, particularly with IT and technology-driven companies, and the programme leads on to postgraduate study in business administration and information management.
