PhD in Vadībzinātne

This doctorate prepares doctors of science in management, aiming to strengthen management science as an academic discipline in Latvia while producing highly educated specialists able to contribute to business development at home and internationally. Coursework builds current competencies in company management, a critical and creative approach to decision-making, and the ability to identify causal relationships that point toward new ways of developing a business. Alongside applied management skills, candidates gain experience in designing and delivering study programmes and build competence in scientific research work, working toward an original contribution to business development theory or practice. Graduates are positioned to pursue academic posts such as docent, associate professor or professor, take up senior management roles in state and municipal institutions, publish internationally recognised research, or lead their own companies.
