PhD in Izglītības zinātnes

This is a joint doctoral programme run across several Latvian universities, with individual modules delivered at different institutions around the country rather than at a single site. It aims to build independent, innovative research ability in education science, and to improve teaching practice at levels ranging from preschool through to adult education, culminating in a publicly defended dissertation based on original research. Alongside general coursework, candidates choose one specialisation module matched to their research interests: subject didactics, inclusive education and the integration of technology into teaching, education for sustainable development, special and social pedagogy, or preschool and primary-school pedagogy.
