This degree develops theoretical and research-based knowledge of electronics and electrical engineering for use in designing, producing and operating electronic devices, systems and software, and in controlling electrical systems. Core subjects run from physics, mathematics and circuit theory through analogue and digital devices, microprocessor fundamentals, power electronics and energy converters to power transmission and smart electric power systems, closing with a product development project, a professional internship and a bachelor's final project. Students also take electives on sustainable development and applied electrodynamics, and may study building automation and control systems. Teaching and assessment proceed module by module through exams and other evaluation methods, alongside classroom, laboratory and individual study. Graduates can formulate and solve electronics and electrical engineering problems, select appropriate testing and manufacturing equipment, and weigh technical decisions against their economic implications.
