MA/MS in Business management

This master's programme trains business managers to run independent research, present what they find, and use it to plan, organise and keep watch over a business organisation's sustainable growth. Coursework spans advanced leadership, shaping organisational culture, business communication and decisions, designing a business, evaluating one, logistics, innovation strategy, tourism business abroad, investment, management theory, marketing research, managing change and personnel, service management, statistics for managers, and strategic marketing, ending in a thesis. Learning outcomes include applying research findings systematically and creatively to solve problems in a firm, pairing business design with strategic management in research work, framing a research problem and running independent studies, reading a business's resources, site and market to build and carry out a strategic plan, and running market surveys that feed into pricing, pay structures and investment valuation. Students also learn to judge and shape organisational culture, pick innovation strategies for sustainable growth, and lead while answering for their own and subordinates' work; graduates are described as fit for roles as researchers, consultants, or managers of a division or organisation.
