BA/BS in Digital Design Technologies

This programme trains digital-design specialists able to work individually or in teams to create visual information for client needs, combining graphic-communication principles, animation and composition with a safety-conscious approach to design. Study areas include digital photography, vector and point graphics, typography, UI/UX design, 3D modelling and game programming, sound and image technology, GIS, and research methodology, alongside foundational language, psychology and business-economics subjects. Students learn to apply visual-expression and composition principles to original characters and projects, choose appropriate computer hardware, network and audio-visual components for a solution, and prepare text, image and sound content for multimedia products, working through a defined project-development sequence from idea to finished product. Four internships, including placements of several weeks' duration in partner companies, build practical experience, and three specialisation tracks let students focus on mobile-app development, web-project development or computer-network administration. Assessment runs through project and portfolio defence, coursework defence and examination, concluding with a final thesis.
