Across 210 ECTS credits, a dedicated global-security subject group covers international order, armed conflict, economic and energy security, migration and trafficking, anti-corruption and anti-money-laundering instruments, cyber security and AI fundamentals, environmental law and climate change, and terrorism, sitting alongside standard national and international law subjects such as constitutional, administrative, criminal, civil, and labour law, plus logic and AI, research methodology, and mediation and negotiation. Learning outcomes include interpreting legal and global-security terminology and norms to advise on and assess scenarios, comparing evidence and law to identify issues and guide stakeholders toward available remedies, and strategically planning research using qualitative and quantitative methods and legal and non-legal sources. Students also learn to recognise factors that complicate security problems, such as cyber, hybrid, and disinformation threats and the misuse of emerging technology, to practise honesty and integrity when applying ethics in conflict situations, and to conduct independent, goal-directed research comparing existing and newly gathered material.
