BA/BS in Law and Internal Service

Delivered in a blended format over five years, this programme builds legal science knowledge together with specialised skills in preventing, detecting, and investigating crime, keeping public order, applying coercive measures, controlling migration, and managing law enforcement administration. Learning outcomes include using legal terminology correctly to identify legal problems, proposing solutions that fit judicial practice and the rule of law while weighing the interests of the state and its citizens, and carrying out applied legal research, from defining a topic and plan to gathering data from academic sources and turning findings into evidence-based proposals for law enforcement. Students also learn to analyse enforcement processes by combining knowledge from different fields, to handle public-security situations safely using suitable tactics and official data within their authority, and to help prevent threats to the state while building public confidence in statutory institutions. Teaching centres on case studies from Lithuanian and international court precedent, small-group problem-based learning, and analysis of real cases, with assessment through written reviews, oral exams, and a final thesis.
