General Description: Objective(s) of a study programme: To train highly qualified labour law specialists that are able to provide legal consultations in this field, explain the latest developments of labour law, analyze and evaluate legal situations related to employment relations, promptly and efficiently solve practical legal problems and provide suggestions for employers and employees' representatives on improving legal regulation in the field of labour law. Learning outcomes: 1. Ability to think conceptually, solve labour law and labour relation problems, including complex ones when incomplete or limited information is available, applying the available knowledge, resources, and professional skills. 2. Ability to freely adapt the acquired knowledge of labour law in practice, apply it in a constantly changing environment, ability to generate new ideas in a multicultural environment. 3. Ability to independently analyze, synthesize and evaluate legal facts and related data, integrate knowledge of labour law, unambiguously formulate logical conclusions based on labour law knowledge, focused on the improvement and enhancement of professional activities. 4. Ability to provide services of an independent labour law expert, using the acquired knowledge, independently start, develop, manage the legal consulting business, organize and carry out social partnership processes (negotiations between the employer and trade unions, works councils, etc.), consult on issues related to personal data management and its use in labour law related matters. 5. Ability to protect the rights and interests of employees, employers, and other clients, peacefully resolve labour disputes, as well as professionally prepare, analyze, and evaluate legal documents - requests, contracts, agreements, statements, etc. required to initiate, execute, and terminate employment relationships. 6. Ability to critically analyze, interpret, compare and evaluate legal acts regulating employment relations, provide creative and reasonable suggestions for the improvement of these legal acts. 7. Ability to work in a team, in effective cooperation with colleagues, reconcile opposing interests, take responsibility for the quality of their own and the team's activities, make socially responsible and ethical decisions. 8. Ability to convey knowledge of labour law to professional and non-professional audiences and choose appropriate communication tools. 9. Ability to plan the learning process independently and purposefully, choose the direction of improvement in professional activities, adapt to the changing work environment. Activities of teaching and learning: Teaching and learning activities are studentcentered. In principle, they could be divided into such groups, i.e. activities aimed at (1) acquiring students' academic knowledge (including both academic lectures and student's independent work, etc.), (2) developing students' cooperation skills in a social environment (these activities are mainly based on group work), (3) acquiring of students' discussion knowledge, (4) developing the students' ability to solve independent problems (teaching activities are based on problem solving during practical classes and independent work), (5) developing the students' critical thinking (based on students' insights) and (6) reflection - emphasis on teacher and student feedback. Methods of assessment of learning achievements: Frontal verbal interview; individual verbal interview; tests, colloquiums; case studies (written or oral) individual or group projects; written survey method; simulations; questions-answers; inscenizations, etc. Framework: Study subjects (modules), practical training: The total volume of the study program is 60 credits, of which 50 credits devoted to the main field of study, 10 credits are allocated to the subjects of another field of study, which provide the interdisciplinary knowledge and skills necessary for the professionalism of the graduates of the program. All study subjects included in the program are of an in-depth nature. Each individual course in the program provides knowledge in a relevant area of labour law. Student who has acquired special knowledge during studies, on basic subjects such as Legal-practical problems of employment contracts, Human resources management, Personnel psychology, Legal protection of personal data in employment legal relations, Occupational safety and health problems in employment legal relations, Local legal regulation in labour law - will be able to fully meet the current needs of the labour market with a high level of knowledge in a specific area of labour law. 5 subjects are studied each semester. Specialisations: - Optional courses: Distinctive features of a study programme: 1) It is not focused on theoretical studies, but on practical experiential training, therefore the content of all study subjects to be taught is also focused on the analysis of practical situations and the implementation of real legal needs of employers and employees. 2) It is planned to admit to this program students that do not have a bachelor's degree in law, but who have at least 3 years of experience in the field of labour law. 3) It is a shorter in duration (1 year) and does not require preparation of a master's thesis. Access to professional activity or further study: Access to professional activity: Graduates of the program will be able to work both in the private sector (lawyers, personnel managers and specialists in business enterprises, business consulting companies, various international companies and national organizations) and in the public sector (national labour administration and supervision or control bodies), as well as labour disputes. decision-making bodies (labour dispute commissions). Graduate of the Labour Law LL.M. will gain a competitive advantage and opportunities to work in various job (e.g., human resources manager, trade union employee, also as a member of labour dispute commission, as a specialist in labour inspectorate, manager, lawyer (having a bachelor’s degree in law field) in business and public sectorsector. Graduates will also be able to apply for the position of Personal Data Protection Officer or Specialist in charge of Occupational Safety and Health. In the provided program, the subject “Occupational Safety and Health” has been coordinated with the State Labour Inspectorate to meet the approved content and form requirements for such training, so students and listeners will have the opportunity to receive separate OSH specialist certificates. Access to further study: Persons who have obtained an LL.M. Master's degree in law, may study in the third cycle studies in the field of law in accordance with the procedure established by research and study institutions.
