MA/MS in Labour Law LL.M

This 1-year LL.M. programme trains labour law specialists in practical, experiential skills rather than purely theoretical study, admitting both law graduates and professionals with at least three years of labour law experience, and requiring no master's thesis. The 60-credit curriculum, with 10 credits drawn from another field for interdisciplinary breadth, covers personnel psychology, practical legal problems of employment contracts, human resources management, the legal protection of personal data in employment relations, occupational safety and health, and local labour-law regulation. Learning outcomes include providing independent labour-law expert services, organising social-partnership negotiations between employers and trade unions or works councils, and preparing and evaluating legal documents such as contracts and agreements needed to initiate, execute, and terminate employment relationships. Students also learn to critically analyse and propose improvements to employment legislation and to peacefully resolve labour disputes while protecting the rights of employees and employers. Graduates can work as lawyers, human resources managers, or members of labour dispute commissions in both private companies and public labour administration bodies.
