This programme trains music pedagogues with combined musical, educational, and interdisciplinary knowledge to organise, coordinate, and improve music education at different levels and in different parts of the education system, while developing pupils' artistic self-expression and contributing to national education and culture policy. Learning outcomes include thinking constructively and creatively, planning and reflecting on one's own pedagogical development, purposefully organising musical education by recognising individual students' needs and progress, and modelling learner-oriented content using current digital music technologies. The 240-credit programme splits between pedagogical studies, including seventy credits of theory and practice across three stages from observation to continuous teaching, and a music module covering the language and history of music, folk and instrumental music, vocal education, music-technology software, and children's choir direction, with thirty credits for individual study. Described as the only programme of its kind in Northern Lithuania, part of it focuses on digital audio technologies and cultural-event management. Graduates can teach music at institutions of any level and manage performing groups at educational and cultural institutions.
