Overview
This master's programme trains finance and data-analytics experts with a particular focus on environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, pairing core financial and economic disciplines with statistical, econometric and big-data methods. Coursework covers financing innovation sustainably, IT and software for financial work, EU finance law, trends in banking and fintech, sustainable-finance tools and strategy, assessing financial risk alongside its social and environmental side, reading financial markets, and behavioural finance in portfolio building, taught mainly through problem-based lectures, case studies and group projects across 120 credits. Learning outcomes include appraising an organisation's finances using programming and computing tools, applying data-analytics skills ethically to real accounting and finance problems, managing financial risk together with its environmental and social fallout, making complex calls within sustainable finance in a digital setting, and investing with full awareness of environmental and social impact. Students also build leadership and teamwork skills and learn to explain professional problems clearly to experts and laypeople alike, making independent, responsible calls at middle or senior management level in financial institutions.
