MA/MS in International and European Law

This 1.5-year master's programme builds comprehensive knowledge of international and European legal norms and their influence on national legal systems, training legal experts to identify, analyse, and solve complex problems of law-making and legal application in international and European contexts. Students gain advanced knowledge of international organisations and their legal remedies, and advanced rules on the conflict of laws grounded in legal theory and practice. Learning outcomes include analysing the interaction between national and international courts and applying that analysis to justify legal decisions, drafting legal acts and documents for international public or business settings, and independently initiating and conducting legal research using relevant databases to interpret and apply legal sources. Students also develop skills in representing or coordinating the legal interests of individuals or institutions in an international environment and in resolving disputes under international, European, and national legal norms, grounded in professional ethics and respect for cultural diversity and human rights.
