University College Venlo

This small-scale, English-taught liberal arts and sciences programme examines how food systems function and how they might be transformed to become healthier, more sustainable and more just, approaching the topic from multiple academic perspectives. Students design their own academic pathway around three themes, health, behaviour and responsible innovation, which might include studying the biological basis of nutrition, investigating why people make particular food choices, or examining how entrepreneurship, technology and policy together drive change toward sustainability. Teaching takes place in small, international groups through problem-based learning focused on real-world challenges, with individual guidance meant to prepare students for further study at master's level or for careers connected to sustainability, public health and innovation.
