BA/BS in Historie

This online bachelor in history at HVL is taught largely on the web, with some sessions live and others pre-recorded. Students learn about Norwegian, European and global history, major social changes and continuities, and the methods and sources historians use. Teaching combines lectures, seminars, self-study, writing assignments and group work. Attendance is not compulsory and all exams are taken online, so students can study from anywhere. The second year is optional and may follow a recommended mix of history and other social science subjects, or other courses at HVL or elsewhere. Graduates earn a bachelor degree in history and can work in project work, guidance, public administration, strategy and analysis, culture and media, or as freelance consultants.
