MA/MS in Biological and Biomedical Sciences

HBKU's MS in Biological and Biomedical Sciences is a multidisciplinary program training the next generation of leaders in biology and biomedicine, combining a rigorous grounding in theoretical and applied biomedically relevant science with professional skills in communication and critical evaluation. Students get exposure to translational, computational, clinical and basic research in the life sciences throughout the degree. Taught over two years for 33 credits, the program requires at least three electives on top of five mandatory foundational courses, plus departmental seminars and thesis work paired with laboratory training. Admission requires a strong academic record from a recognized university, a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4, a science background with coursework in biological or medical sciences, and English proficiency shown through an IELTS score of at least 6.5 or a TOEFL score of at least 79; prior research experience is preferred. The college quotes total program tuition at QAR 132,000, charged at QAR 4,000 per credit hour across the 33 credit hours.
