BA/BS in Chemical Engineering - Processing Engineering

University of Doha for Science and Technology's B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Processing Engineering concentration, readies students over four years for work in Qatar's chemical and petroleum industries. Core study covers process operation, process control techniques and equipment design, building toward the ability to design, run, maintain and troubleshoot chemical and processing plants. Year three places students in an in-field training placement so classroom knowledge gets tested against live industrial processes. The final year is built around an independent research study of a genuine chemical or processing engineering problem, which graduates then carry through as a capstone project alongside a further work placement. Together, the placements and capstone work are meant to leave graduates ready for process-engineering roles in the chemical or petroleum sector without a lengthy adjustment period after they start work.
