UDST's Dip. CPET is a two-year programme in chemical and processing engineering technology, designed to give students the grounding needed to start work in Qatar's chemical and processing industries. Teaching covers the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment, units and processes used in this kind of plant, with a strong practical component delivered in dedicated laboratories and workshops.
Rather than focusing only on how chemical processes work in theory, the programme pushes students to get hands-on with the same kind of machinery they will encounter on the job, so that graduates can step into a technical role without a long adjustment period.
Graduates leave equipped for entry-level positions in chemical processing and related industries, and the diploma also serves as the standard route into UDST's three-year Advanced Diploma for those who want to build on it further.
