Overview

SMU's MSc in Quantitative Finance responds to three industry needs: valuing and hedging instruments, analysing and managing risk, and quantitative trading and investing. Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in a field with some mathematical rigour, and fresh graduates are welcome. Two options exist. The Local track is taken entirely at SMU in Singapore and leads to an SMU MQF degree; it can also be studied part-time over 24 months. The International track carries a higher English requirement. Both tracks last 12 months plus an internship, share the same core modules and charge the same programme fees, and the full-time listing on the page is 18 months. Admission needs a GMAT, GRE or SMU Admissions Test result. The International track sets a minimum IELTS score of 7.0, with 6.5 required for writing.
