Diploma in Common Business Programme

The Common Business Programme lets students sample the main business fields before choosing a specialisation. The first year covers essentials such as business accounting, key terms and business software, taught through interactive methods including design thinking and case studies, with taster modules linked to each future specialisation. An Option Exploration Programme brings expert talks from industry, meetings with lecturers and seniors from each specialisation, and learning journeys to companies. A year-long Education and Career Guidance class uses profiling tools to help students understand their personality, values and strengths and decide where to specialise. Once the first year is complete, students move into one of six options spread over four diplomas: Human Resource Management with Psychology; Accountancy; Banking and Finance; and Business Administration. Students who start with the common year are not disadvantaged against peers who specialise at once.
