Diploma in Aviation Management

The Diploma in Aviation Management introduces students to air traffic, airline and airport operations. The School of Engineering teaches terminal management, air traffic control and flight operations, along with knowledge of aviation safety, aircraft systems and airport operations. Students practise on DA40 flight simulators and in a Virtual Aerodrome Laboratory, where they take the role of an air traffic controller. The curriculum explains how aircraft, airports and airlines work together so that air travel runs safely and efficiently, covering the management of flight paths as well as airline services. A 20-week industry immersion within the air transport industry gives students workplace experience before they graduate, helping them move toward careers valued by airlines and airports. The programme combines simulated practice with time spent in industry settings.
