Diploma in Common ICT Programme

The Common ICT Programme gives students a low-risk way to look across the computing fields taught at Singapore Polytechnic's School of Computing before choosing a specialisation. The first year builds a base in programming and information technology, including Front-End Web Development and Programming Methodology, and students also see how technology supports banking, healthcare and transport. After the first semester, students choose between the Diploma in Applied AI and Analytics, the Diploma in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, or the Diploma in Computer Science, and then study advanced topics in that field. A Diploma Exposure Programme lets students attend course sharings and try hands-on activities, while the school's Industry Connect Seminar introduces industry partners. Elective modules can be grouped into one of six minors, among them Asia Readiness, Business Management, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability.
