The advanced master in biology combines theoretical teaching with a strong research emphasis. First-year teaching is in English, except for the physics and mathematics orientations, and students choose one of seven specialisations, including genetics and molecular biosciences, plant molecular sciences, microbiology and biodiversity.
Students start with a two-month pre-internship in the first year and complete a full-year research project in a laboratory or research group in the second year. The programme runs for 2 years, 4 semesters, carries 120 ECTS credits, and prepares graduates for research, biotechnology, teaching, science journalism and ecology services.
