MA/MS in Psychology, General

Adelphi's general psychology master's degree suits students who want a broad advanced grounding in how people think and behave. It can lead toward work in healthcare, research, business or law, and it also serves as a stepping stone for those planning to pursue a doctorate later. Two concentrations let students aim at particular job areas: one centered on managing people in organizations, the other on counseling for addiction. Attendance can be full-time or part-time, classes gather once weekly, and a handful of courses can be taken online. The main site is the Garden City campus. Beginning in 2027, the HR concentration will also run at the university's new Manhattan Center. Transfer students from Farmingdale State who qualify are promised a seat in selected Adelphi master's programs, which gives them a clear next step after their associate or bachelor's study.
