BA/BS in Criminal Justice and Corrections

The criminal justice degree teaches how the judicial system operates, covering both policing and the courts. Students learn about the agencies involved in criminal proceedings and the thinking of offenders and victims, with the aim of preparing them to create change through public service. Two degree plans are offered. The arts plan adds language study and trims science, while the science plan adds science and drops the language requirement. Students can also add certificates to their credentials, and sample four-year plans are published for each plan. Faculty follow current developments across the justice system, and many worked in it professionally. The page also lists course descriptions and several scholarship options for undergraduates. Prospective students can find the degree plan, course descriptions, faculty profiles and contact details for the department on the program page, along with scholarship information.
