MA/MS in Architecture

The Master of Architecture is the professional degree that most state registration boards require before someone can be licensed to practice, and Clemson's program holds NAAB accreditation. It is taught in the state's only school of architecture. Teaching sits between pure theory and pure practice. Each semester is anchored by design studio, where students propose solutions, built or conceptual, to local needs and global issues. Studio is paired with classes on building technology, history and theory, drawing and making, research methods and professional topics, often coordinated with studio projects. Students can earn the degree through any of four tracks described on the page. The page also points prospective students to open house events and to application information, giving them a route to visit before applying.
