AA/AS in Geography and Cartography

Geography at Henry Ford College is offered as a pathway within the Liberal Arts Associate in Arts. It looks at where people, places and environments are located and why, covering subjects such as culture, climate change, food, music, health and the environment. The program helps students see how regions around the world are connected, from nearby communities to distant countries. Because almost anything has a location, learners can pursue their own interests within the discipline. Geographic understanding is sought by teachers, businesses, nonprofits and government agencies. Example careers include teaching, market research, transportation planning and environmental engineering. The degree is intended to support transfer to a four-year school. Prospective students can ask for more information or apply through the college website, and instructor contact details appear on the program page.
