AA/AS in Geography and Cartography

Geography explores the landscapes, peoples, places and environments of the earth, and the ways living things and physical surroundings depend on one another. This associate of arts is designed with transfer in mind. Two concentrations meet different student needs, and one of them centers on geography itself. Learners work with geospatial technologies such as coordinate systems, projections and data models, reason through questions of place and space, and take accountability for results when working individually or in groups. The Geography department within the social sciences, communication and liberal arts division administers this program, which totals 64 credit hours in the version effective Fall 2026. Prospective students should review the full course list on the program page and meet with an academic advisor to plan their schedule.
