Cert in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management

Information Technology Specialist is a Certificate of Achievement designed for people who want to start working in computing without a long period of study first. The program covers the three areas that most support jobs touch: the physical hardware inside a computer, the software installed on it, and the networks that link machines together. Students spend their time on diagnosing faults and learning how to keep systems in good working order. These abilities are the sort that employers look for when they hire someone to help colleagues or customers with technology problems. Because the certificate is compact, it fits learners who are changing careers, returning to school, or looking to strengthen skills they already use informally. Graduates may apply for positions including technical assistant, help desk support, and IT technician. The mix of equipment, programs, and connectivity gives a broad view of how an organization's technology operates, which can also guide choices about where to specialize later.
