AA/AS in Social Work

This transfer-oriented associate of arts at Sinclair suits students who plan to finish a bachelor's degree in social work or a nearby field. Social work as a profession is about assisting people through difficult circumstances so their lives get better. Graduates with the two-year degree may also take up supporting roles in human services right away. Coursework stresses collaboration toward common aims in a range of social settings, along with the knowledge and skills for serving clients from many cultures. Any certificates built into the pathway are awarded automatically as requirements are met. The Social Work department, housed in the division for social sciences, communication, and the liberal arts, runs the program. Interested students should look over the complete list of courses on the program page and speak with an academic advisor about how to sequence their classes.
