Cert in Music

The Music certificate serves people who want to develop as trained music professionals. Graduates are prepared for work as singers, instrumentalists, or private and group lesson instructors, and the training also covers music retail and similar starter positions in the industry. Study covers vocal or instrumental work on piano, organ, guitar, drums or orchestral instruments, basic theory and analysis, an overview of how Western music evolved, and basic business skills for the music industry. No audition is needed to enter. The certificate can also lead into a two-year degree elsewhere in music, and the college is accredited by the national association for music schools. Anyone considering the program can open the published degree plan to see what must be completed and in what order, ask the college for more details through an online form, or begin an application straight from the program page, where a named contact handles questions.
