PGCert in Data Analytics

Aimed at professionals, new graduates and students already in graduate school, these online certificates teach the basics of statistical analysis with R and several approaches to social science research. They let people try the area without enrolling in a full master's degree. Coursework introduces managing data, planning research and quantitative analysis, which prepares students for the more technical courses in the master's program. The shorter option has three courses. The longer option has five and adds one or two further methods, for instance analyzing text or networks, designing surveys, or machine learning. Because it is a certificate rather than a full degree, it is a lighter commitment for students and professionals. The program page lists requirements and contacts for those who want more detail.
