AA/AS in Journalism

This transfer degree trains students in reporting, writing and editing, with an eye toward a bachelor's journalism program or an early newsroom position. Students contribute to the campus newspaper from the first semester, working in a journalism lab with professional-style computers, software and cameras. Entry-level roles include small-paper reporter, assistant editor and photojournalist. The program is delivered at the Vincennes campus. Classes stay small, so learners can join discussions and find help from faculty when they need it. Academic and social support services are available to students, and the university itself is institutionally accredited by the HLC.
