BA/BS in Mathematics and Computer Science

The Mathematics and Computer Science major was built jointly by the engineering school and the College of Arts and Sciences. It brings together two complementary fields in one efficient major. Engineering students who declare it satisfy the core requirements and other requirements of the applied science degree in the engineering school, while Arts and Sciences students satisfy that college's distribution requirements and the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts. The department refers students to the university bulletin for requirements and course offerings and lists earlier bulletin years. Related combined majors, minors, undergraduate research, and transfer credit information appear on the page, and the undergraduate office answers questions. Students from either school can use the page as a starting point to understand which set of requirements applies to them.
