The Master of Education is designed for domestic and international students from varied academic backgrounds who want careers in education without seeking a Massachusetts public school teaching license. The focus is on curriculum studies and the student's own professional interests. Students shape a personal course of study through electives in content or pedagogy. The program can be taken part time, one or two courses a term, or full time, and courses are available in person, online and in hybrid formats. Full-time students have the option of completing the degree in one year. The program is taught at Worcester State University in Worcester, Massachusetts, and is a graduate course of study leading to a master's degree. Students work with faculty advisors to plan their studies and to connect coursework with their professional aims.
