Computer Science Technology is a technical Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC, program code 420.B0) offered at Champlain College Lennoxville, launching Fall 2026 and available for Fall-semester entry only. The program develops up-to-date computer-related skills using a range of development tools, with emphasis on industry-standard structured and object-oriented programming techniques. This section of the program includes more in-depth coverage of networks, security, game programming, and connected objects than is typical elsewhere. The program concludes with a work placement (stage) in a real business setting, and completion requires a ministerial comprehensive assessment demonstrating the knowledge and skills developed throughout the program. Many Quebec universities grant DEC-BAC advanced standing in Information Technology programs to graduates, including a signed agreement with Bishop's University. An optional Alternance travail-études (ATE) work-study track is available, adding one or two work terms during summer sessions for eligible students.
