This pre-university Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) programme prepares students for university studies in computer science, mathematics, actuarial science, computer gaming, information systems, engineering, and the sciences. Coursework combines science and computer technology courses with a problem-solving approach, teaching students to interpret and evaluate solutions and theories, apply a systematic approach to problem solving, and use information and communications technologies to address problems in a scientific context. The programme runs over four semesters (two years) and is delivered on-campus at the Saint-Lambert campus. Students choose from three curriculum tracks depending on their French proficiency: English Certificate Holders with high French proficiency, English Certificate Holders with low French proficiency, and Non-Certificate Holders. The programme concludes with an integrative capstone project in computer science and mathematics, and prepares graduates for university-level study in computing, mathematics, and related scientific fields.
