Certificate in Information Technology (Part-Time)

The Division of Computer Studies' Certificate in Information Technology (Part-Time) targets people who want hands-on proficiency with the computer applications that today's workplace demands, without committing to a longer qualification. Students learn the hardware and software building blocks of a computer system and build an awareness of how computing shapes modern society, covering topics such as introductory internet technologies and hardware fundamentals. The two-semester programme suits a wide range of entrants: school leavers coming straight from secondary education, working adults who need a condensed, practical course to boost their efficiency on the job, and even bachelor's-degree holders from non-computing fields who need a solid introduction to information technology. Finishing the programme earns students the Certificate in Information Technology.
