This is a pathway route into Algonquin College's Bachelor of Engineering in Automation and Robotics Engineering (Co-op), a four-year CEAB-accredited degree spanning mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science, for graduates of Algonquin's Electrical Engineering Technician Ontario College Diploma. Eligible diploma graduates complete three bridging courses covering linear algebra, advanced programming and data structures, and physics, and in return receive credit for up to 13 courses in the degree, reducing time to completion to three years instead of the standard four. The remaining curriculum covers control systems, industrial robots, mechatronics, and mobile robotics across the degree's later academic levels, together with mandatory paid co-op work terms and a final capstone project. Graduates pursue careers as robotics engineers, controls engineers, automation engineers, and systems designers across industrial automation, manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare, and defence sectors.
