Program details

Overview

This program awards a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, completed in a three-year (90-credit-hour) or four-year (120-credit-hour) format, delivered in hybrid mode at the Winnipeg campus with Fall and Winter intake terms. The curriculum examines scripture, history, theology, and the practices of Christianity together with other world religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Judaism, and Islam, with students studying what people believe and practice in diverse religious communities around the world. Coursework develops critical-thinking skills applied to religious texts, traditions, and contemporary religious life, situating Christianity within a broader comparative-religion framework. The program suits students preparing for further study in theology, religious studies, or ministry-related fields, as well as those seeking a liberal-arts grounding in religion to support careers in education, community service, chaplaincy, or non-profit work, or wanting a deeper academic understanding of how religion shapes human experience worldwide.
